Bachelor of Health and Physical Education Virtual Advising Workshop
Event box
Welcome to the Bachelor of Health and Physical Education!
This one hour group advising session helps prepare new BHPE students to proceed with registration and troubleshooting. This session will be held online via Google meet. Prior to the session you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the online meeting.
What to expect during the online meeting:
-
The purpose of this online meeting is to give new students the opportunity to ask questions and get support with course planning and registration.
-
There is a set presentation for the first hour, (if you already attended the New Student Registration on April 5th this will be the same information, you do not need to attend both).
-
Topics that can be covered include, but are not limited to course planning, planning resources, understanding mruGradU8 and troubleshooting registration.
-
Expect to participate, the last hour is an informal workshop so you are welcome to ask questions along the way either by chat or voice while being respectful of others in the workshop.
-
You can expect to leave the meeting with your questions answered, and/or a better idea of where to seek out more information.
What to do before the meeting:
-
Get access to a desktop computer or laptop. NOTE: It's recommended but not essential that you have access to a webcam and microphone (most laptops are equipped with these already)
-
Ensure you have a good internet connection
-
Ensure you can log on to mymru.ca
-
Ensure you have paid the non-refundable tuition deposit
Get ahead by reviewing the online Advising Tutorials if you haven’t already.
You will receive a reminder email including the Google Meet code prior to the event.
